Punchy Pavlich has been given permission to return to AFL football after serving several weeks on the sidelines for, presumably, killing an Eagles player. For those who don't remember, Pavlich is the captain of the Fremantle Football Club and was once highly regarded as a handy utility player but in recent years has been used as a forward and more recently as the bloke who holds the door open for the players. He made a much anticipated comeback a few weeks ago, after several on the sidelines, but was quickly rubbed out by the tribunal and has spent the last month complaining about the umpiring in the cricket, with good cause. Ross Lyon hasn't seen much of Pavlich in his time as Fremantle coach but is expected to give the big fella a run in the forward line, relatively speaking. Clancee Pearce will miss out with a calf injury while Garrick Ibbotson, Jess Crichton, Tom Sheridan and Hayden Crozier have been added to the bench. The Giants have made some changes too but stop pretending you know who any of them are.
