Matthew Pavlich has managed to tear himself away from the couch for a few days and has been kind enough to used one of them to play footy for the Fremantle Football Club. You know, the one he’s captain of. Not many people know much about Pavlich, probably because they’ve forgotten but those in the know have suggested that Pav fancies himself as a bit of a key position player, preferable forward but there has been a suggestion that he can also play in defence or even in the midfield...although all that sounds a bit far fetched. A testament to the celebrity status of Pavlich is the calibre of his entourage. Along with his own handy football skills he’ll also bring a few handy footballers with him. David Mundy and Michael Barlow will both return to the middle of the ground, Lee Spurr will slot back into the hole left by having Zac Dawson in the side and a young bloke by the name of Sandilands might also get a run. Cam Sutcliffe and Alex Silvagni are also on the extended interchange with Duffield out with a busted leg, Crozier out with a groin injury and Michie and Hannath having a spell. Justin Koschitzke won’t be available to play his 200th game for St Kilda this week because of soreness.
