Fremantle coach Ross Lyon has moved to embrace the passion of Fremantle fans as he prepares his team for Friday night’s cut throat semi-final against Adelaide.
Lyon, known for his business as usual approach to coaching and for keeping a lid on things, said his approach did not mean that he wanted to see restraint from the fans. He just needed them to understand what was required from the players.
The Dockers coach stressed that his team had not achieved anything yet in the wake of its ground breaking 16-point elimination final win against Geelong at the MCG on Saturday – the first away final the club has won.
Dockers fans were at Perth Airport to welcome Lyon’s team home when they returned to Perth on Sunday. Lyon said he welcomed the show of passion.
