Fremantle midfielder Tendai Mzungu says it is way too early for anyone to suggest the club can play finals because the team hasn't performed well enough for long enough this year.
The Dockers returned their win-loss ratio back to even ground after defeating the Western Bulldogs on Sunday and they are now only percentage behind eighth-placed St Kilda. Fremantle's next three opponents - Melbourne, GWS and Port Adelaide - are below them on the ladder, so the club has an ideal chance to climb into the eight.
But Mzungu said the players knew they could only be judged by how they were performing now and not by what may happen in the future.
