Fremantle have adopted a safety-first approach with full-back Zac Dawson, who will miss Saturday's clash with Collingwood at the MCG.
Dawson also sat out last weekend's loss to Essendon because of a knee injury picked up in the win over Richmond at the MCG on June 9.
And gun midfielder Stephen Hill (ankle) remains in doubt after missing training yesterday. The Dockers travel to Melbourne tomorrow.
Hill's run would be important in the midfield battle against Collingwood, but Dawson's absence looms as a bigger problem as the Dockers attempt to quell Travis Cloke and Chris Dawes.
Essendon key forwards Michael Hurley and Stewart Crameri gave the Fremantle back line plenty of problems last week.
Hurley kicked six goals, Crameri two and ruckmen David Hille and Paddy Ryder contributed when they pushed forward.
Cloke snared five goals against West Coast last Saturday and Dawson loomed as a likely opponent this weekend.
