FREMANTLE coach Ross Lyon says his team's poor ball-use was to blame for its disappointing fourth quarter fadeout against Essendon.
The Dockers held a five-point lead at the final change but were overrun in the last term, with a rampant Bombers outfit booting 4.6 to just one behind to consign Fremantle to its third straight loss at Patersons Stadium.
Lyon lamented his team’s disposal in the game’s dying stages, highlighting the fact Essendon managed eight scoring shots off turnovers in the final term.
"We thought we were in good shape, but at the end of the day we didn't play well in the last quarter at all," he told 6PR.
