FREMANTLE coach Ross Lyon believes his redeveloped forward line is coming together despite another inaccurate day on the scoreboard.
The Dockers kicked 12.15, but still dominated lowly Port Adelaide to comfortably win by 40 points at Patersons Stadium.
Fremantle’s first term included eight behinds – seven which came in the latter half of the quarter as the home side ran circles around the disillusioned Power.
But skipper Matthew Pavlich (four goals) and half-forward Chris Mayne (three) still booted small bags to leave Lyon smiling at the end of the game.
The Dockers have kicked 55.66 in their past five matches, but Lyon denied his team’s inaccuracy in front of goal this season was related to his new game plan.
“We always want to take better opportunities and have a bit more chemistry between the kicker and the leader at times,” Lyon said.
