Sandi lands on a pile of money

Dual All Australian, Aaron Sandilands, has decided he'd like to hang around the Freo Footy Club as long as he can (catching a plane back to see the family every year would be a nightmare at his height) and has signed himself up until the end of 2013, assuming the Mayan's aren't right.

The move comes as a shock to Hawthorn who had read that he was mad keen to head east and play for them, as well as Carlton, Collingwood and Essendon who were also expecting him to nominate for the pre-season draft and play for free in Victoria according to their local press.

But while Sandilands' latest contract will see him become one of the bigger earners at the club, in more ways than one, the issue that saw Sandilands rush to sign was the tightly negotiated juxtaposition clause which will the limit the club to just three photo opportunities per year where he stands back to back with the someone shorter than him.
